What are the Best Practices for Mobile App Development and Promotion?

What are the Best Practices for Mobile App Development and Promotion?

Mobile app development is an intricate process that involves various stages of programming and quality analysis for the platform that it’s intended to be deployed. It necessary to make a strong presence in the market before it actually hits the ground so that it can make an impressive impact on its target user base.
Here are some important tips which might prove helpful you to develop and promote your app in the market in an effective manner:

Clear Vision
It’s important to make a clear mindset apropos to the motive of your app. Always consider some most important factors such as chalking out the plan why you need the app.  Give a thought to the app you wish to develop, ponder if it’s able to eliminate the existing problems of the people.
Remember, the main aim of developing of an app is to allure the people to it. So to best way to develop and promote an app is to provide them with some useful solution through your app.

Excellent User Experience
The primary goal of your mobile app is to build an audience and to please it by providing them most engaging content in your app. Consider the design of your app so that it compels your user to use it iteratively while not to compromise with the app functionalities.
The design of your app should be intuitive and easy to use simultaneously able to attract the customers to use it iteratively.

Utilizing The Device Functions
It’s better to utilize an in-built feature of mobile devices and OS that an app is supposed to function. This saves the most of the time & effort of the developers and also helps the app to function smoothly on the available devices and hence improves the app user experience.
Analytics
Involve the analytics with in the app code in order to keep a constant track of your mobile app in order to generate the better user experience by analyzing the performance of your application. Additionally, you can also keep an eye on what your target users are expecting from your application. Understanding your users make you serve them in a better way. You may transform the functionalities of app and add more features to it as per the user’s expectations, in the subsequent versions.
Registering the App Name
In the event you’re hiring a developer for your development project, ensure that the app is registered on the name of the company and not in the name of the developer. Overlooking this matter may lead you to several critical problems in the future.

Get the Feedback
Submit your application to various review sites in order to get the feedback about the app and its functionalities. Connect with other app developers to get the suggestions and develop a link exchange program which facilitates the promotion of an application.

Mobile Website
Not all business need an app to grow, there are certain companies which rely on mobile websites instead of the app. In case you are intended to deliver the web content or texts, you can fend off the process of a mobile app.
Mobile websites are equally competent to deliver the equal & uniform functionality similar to a mobile app, which is cost effective as well. These are functional on all the devices and smartphones and are cheaper & easier to maintain.

End Note

Mobile app development is a process that is followed stepwise, it’s necessary to ensure that each step taken is precise and to the point. An app is developed with a vision to attract the users and to resolve their problems. Critically, an app can be a self-sufficient tech chunk that enables people to get all their errands done with simplified functionalities.

Is Xamarin the Ultimate Destination of Cross-Platform Mobile App Development

Recently on the auspicious occasion of Valentine’s Day, Realm has extended its tentacles for Microsoft technologies in the Realm mobile Platform which already hit last month with the latest version 1.0 in order to facilitate the fabrication of real-time app. Xamarin is a spectacular cross-platform solution that was previously acquired by Microsoft approximately a year ago.
Similarly Microsoft has also launched its long awaited Visual Studio 2017 where these Microsoft executives are expecting to share the features from Xamarin as well.
For many organisations, fabricating mobile app is a worthwhile way to spend money as well as time. These apps can boost up the employees productivity. The ultimate motive of the mobile application development is to carry out the work in just a few seconds or minutes. Top enterprises need to dig deep into the pocket in order to carry through native applications. What is the cost-effective and long-term solution?
As a mobile app developer, are you deeply concerned about learning platform specific programming language or something hybrid?

Domination of native app

A native app is an app developed for a mobile-specific device and can be installed directly within the device. Users of the Native app can easily download either from the app store or via app marketplace, for instance Google Play Store or Apple App store. If you are looking for a particular example of native app then Camera+ running on Apple iOS device accommodate all the features of native app.
It looks for an independent development for a particular platform. XCode and Objective-C are used for crafting iOS native mobile app similarly Java and Eclipse are used for developing Android app. Although optimisation of performance as well as user interface are efficiently deployed by native app development.

Transition of thought-process from native app to Cross-platform mobile app

According to publishers there are various factors that can make them understand the significance of cross-platform application development companies rather than those who are still ignorant about this development process. Perhaps the most convincing reason can be reduced developmental cost. Standard-based web technologies have although connected with the web applications and mobile devices which enable companies to get an app that can conveniently run on different platforms without any requirement to invest or look for a developer for a particular ecosystem. But these web technologies were blamed with severe restrictions against with article-oriented Java on android and Objective-C.
At one sphere, where cross-platform invaded is mobile gaming. But now the concept is turning persuasive day by day. Initially the journey of the cross-platform app development started with PhoneGap and Titanium.

Delineation of Xamarin

With the initiation of C#, it has alleviated the mobile app developers for further concern. Xamarin is a Microsoft –owned San Francisco, California based Software Company which was founded in 2011.
With the introduction of C#, Xamarin can be utilised to write native iOS, Android as well as Windows apps along with the native user interfaces. Its lifecycle product are best in class yet and for delivering amazing app it provides with the amazing solution. Behind the company is mono project. It lets the cross platform developer to use C# and .net. So mono platform enables implementation of .net on non-windows platform.

Fundamentals of Xamarin

Xamarin incorporated freely with Visual Studio. Before integrated, people used Xamarin Studio for the purpose for development. It possess the following platforms:
·         Xamarin.Android  -MonoDroid
·         Xamarin.iOS          -MonoTouch
·         Xamarin.Mac         -MonoMacare
Aforesaid are standalone tools for cross-platform development where development of projects can be separately done with the help of the above platforms.
1.       It employs C# programming language and anything which is possible in Objective-C, Java, and Swift can be realized well in C# and Xamarin.
2.       Xamin enables considerable code sharing across Android, iOS and Window which not only saves time, money and efforts as well.
3.       By utilising Test cloud feature, Xamarin enables the developers to run automated testings over 2000 devices. This is further intensified when Xamarin Test Cloud templates are merged with Visual Studio and Xamarin Studio.

Argument in favour of Xamarin

Impressive for Online Application

Xamarin is competent enough and can be the next alternative when it comes to the building up of app in a single application. But this is the best catered by Xamarin app development is that reuse layers of business logic as well as data that can be accessed all across the platform. This is quite signified in case of vast amount of local data and offline mode needed to be enforced. Image recognition can be easily done. Another advantage it caters is the aspect of code reusability. There are no separate team kid around on iOS and Android apps.

Scalability benefits

There are few developers who believe in Xamarin is quite expensive. It changes the scenario when it consider the aspect of scalability. When we look at the cost of license i.e. $999 per developer/platform/year. This is quite advantageous when the team size is 3-4, then the company will be entitled to get MSDN subscription. Hence, it would be fruitful when dozens of apps, along with the healthy team and budget that would contribute licenses/ project.

Highly Customisable

Although Xamarin is a native platform and via wrapping native libraries with a .Net layer that enables developers use C#. It enables to open to all third-parties that are either libraries written for iOS or Android ecosystem which ensures its aspect of highly customisable.

Conviction against Xamarin

Scarce Xamarin Professionals

As far as Xamarin is concerned, your mobile developer must be aware of .Net in order to develop amazing mobile development. While it is not essential to pick either Java or Objective-C, but still looks for the knowledge of  platform –specific framework and architecture that have the essence of both Objective-C and Java. At the end of the day, if the organisation is possessing personnels with entire knowledge of Xamarin then also there must a team of diverse skills and knowledge.

Hypothesis of Risk

It comes up with the unanticipated risk while considering all the cross-platform alternatives. One of the disadvantages are Xamarin’s framework libraries which cause irrational variation in the size of the app file from iOS App store or Google Play store. The variation can fluctuate from 3MB to 15MB. The main reason behind is the core library functionality which leads to the fluctuations.

Conclusion

By looking at the proper delineation, fundamentals, pros and cons, it is evident that the platform is a winner. In this impulsive world, Xamarin has successfully enabled to build, monitor as well as test that can spontaneously perform with the help of code and shared architecture as well.
If you are looking for Xamarin app development company then here we are. At Fluper, we craft path-breaking Xamazin mobile app with the help of experienced and skilled personnel.

Key Challenges that Crop Up while Developing Wearable App Development

Last year Apple Watch Series 2 was unveiled with a number of features improved over the predecessor. It brought with in-built GPS, improved resolution display and waterproof design that can efficiently survive deep in the sea. Apple is all set to bring these improvised version of both the original Apple Watch and Series 2 as well with the new update. Initially it is used to create the biggest challenge while sitting around in the cinema hall or concert where wearable’s screen springs up each and every time while the notifications get pushed through.
But it does not mean that its existence is at stake. With just a fitness tracker segment which managed to fetch approximately $700 million dollars and expected that by 2018, this segment is expected to fetch over $12 billion dollars. Consumers always look for the mobility and business always look for the efficiency. The wearable apps are poised enough, but creating a wearable device is not a cup of tea. Wearable appdevelopment companies always have some issues which can sometime distract from its point of equilibrium:
User Interface
Considering its current state, wearable devices are still in the early stage of development. If restrictive ourselves in the in the specific niche of UI and its gestures then application wise, smart watches are accommodated with a larger number of apps as compared with the smart glass as well presiding over a very low cost. Ever since smart glass managed to incorporate more complicated UIs and cannot be easily accommodated over the small device. It is not capable enough to integrate smart phone and smart glass with other small devices, streamlined end-user experience is followed by the speech-focussed commands and passive data collection as well hence simple design of UIs should be followed. Since flashy icons and detailed navigation cannot be easily accommodated. The most difficult part is that design elements cannot be easily accommodated in the small canvas which imposes a number of issues with the wearable app developer as they do not provide with cluttered design along with too many elements on the screen.
Quick updates of the app
Like technology is growing at an exponential rate. With the advent of new wearable solutions it comes with new programming languages. As applications push into wither new platforms or devices the APIS are also available to grow. For instance some wearable which are particularly created under the big name like Google are fabricated with the new API platform that can manage the app compatibility very easily.
But the biggest challenge for the wearable app development companies is the maintenance as soon as the app is available for download. Since the wearable devices are coming with the quick updates the developers are finding it difficult to modulate its steps. As soon as the app is not updated properly, it turns to be obsolete and hence there is a rising probability of getting it deleted from the list.
Desirable functionality
Mobility and ease of use are the two aspects of distinguishing the wearable app. App developers should always look for the convenience and that too at the stipulated price. Simple replication of the mobile will not cater to the purpose so a comprehensive research to be conducted to understand the desired needs of the users and functionality and mould an app accordingly. Hence cost and durability of these apps should be lucrative enough in order to maintain the long term survival.
According to the Latest survey of North American Consumer Technographics Consumer Technology which revealed that 42% looking for wearable that can be fastened around wrist, 35% on clipped onto cloth, 21% for earbuds and remaining on clipped on shoe, embedded into clothing , embedded in jewellery etc.
Data Privacy and security
With the advent of health surveillance tools that are efficiently ushered in the era of wearable that holds endless promises. Now the individuals are empowered enough to track sufficient control on the critical information regarding fitness. But the potential is challenged enough when data privacy and security is rivalled associated with the financial threat.
Wearable app development companies are deterred with primary issues such as data privacy and security concerns. With the help of clear communication and opt-in privacy that can calm the intensity of fear and also can build long-term relationship to improve the trust. With the help of proper security features it somehow proven to be effective enough to protect the sensitive credentials and can enhance the user confidence.
Partial device
Currently wearable app is considered to be the primary tethered devices i.e. small screen with the limited functionality which rely on the larger device so as to access all the features of the application. Until more development enable these device to function on their own , wearable app developers must consider the factors like phone’s battery dying, issues related to bluetooth range and also all other tether-breaking situations. Hence the more it possess the cross-platform capability the more better it is.
Hence wearable apps development is quite cumbersome but rewarding where adaptability is considered to be the key component for amazing user experience and passively will ensure its long-term survival.

Reasons to Choose Android Over iOS for App Development

With the increase in the app business, everyone is coming up with an app of their own. “There is an app for that”, is a common statement we hear a couple of times each day. Over 3 people out of 5 on the planet has a smartphone. And with the internet connections in these handheld devices has revolutionised human lives. From laundry search to taxi booking and from air ticket booking to doctor’s search, you can do almost anything with the apps. Currently, the app market has formed into a bipolar competition with Google’s Android on one side and Apple’s iOS on the other, and it seems we have a clear winner in the race, and its Android, everyone’s favourite. We have compiled a list of reasons why to choose android over iOS for application development. Have a look.

For amateur developers
Android is for poor and iOS is for the super-rich. That seems true, but that turns out to be in advantage for android. While Google charges a one-time $25 fees for publishing apps on play store, Apple charges $99 each year!! Well that might not be a big deal for top  iOS app development services, it’s good enough for new developers not to choose iOS. That too was not enough, so Apple came up with a wait period of one week for publishing apps on app store. During this period, they may reject your app as a whole. While Google, on the other hand publishes app in 24 hours.

Wide spectrum of Devices
With a market share of 84.7% globally, versus 11.7% of iOS, android has certainly an edge over its rival. You may find android devices ranging from entry level phones of $80 to top end flagships worth $500. This gives the top android app development company a free hand to choose for the options and features of his app. And it’s an open market as compared to Apple, where everything is controlled by the company itself. With different companies in competition, the developer gets the maximum out of the resources.

Customizations
Apple is quite boring when it comes to customizations, you have similar screens, similar icons over and over again in every device. Whereas, Android has lot of customisations not only for the user but many companies provide custom ROMs as well such as Ubuntu, Firefox OS and Sailfish. Mobile brands such as Xiaomi, LeEco and OnePlus provides their own user interface over stock android such as MIUI, Oxygen OS. This gives end-less possibilities for the developers to create apps specific for certain UI’s or for all in general.

Better Hardware (maximum times)
Android got fast charging, removable battery and dual sim, which are very important and popular hardware features. Apple, however lags in the category. Water resistance in Apple has started with iPhone 7 and it still have no plans for micro SD card support. Even the dual camera stared with android first and not iOS. Android still supports headphone jacks, for if in case any app requires it.

The Verdict
Although selecting the right platform for your app, is a matter of choice. While android has deep reach in the market even in the US, which is considered to be a safe haven for Apple. Android holds 52% market while 37% is held by iOS. But things changes drastically in Asian countries, China, for example, where Android has monopoly with 90% market share and merely 10% is acquired by iOS. Yet Apple developers have higher profits over android.

Present and Future of Smartphones in 2017

android app development

Last year, like every year, was a jam packed with the launch and showcasing of the new smartphones with much better specs and humongous capacities. With the exponential evolution of smartphones, nothing seems too difficult, and every technology becomes obsolete in the evening if you bought it in the morning. 2016 was although a marvellous year for the smartphone lovers who wants to get an amazing phone for them. From entry level to flagships, we saw launches in all category and with every price tag. 2017 will be no different too, apart from iOS and android app development, the year will be full of launches and teasing of the smartphones by the companies. We have compiled everything that needs your attention in 2017 as per the new launches are concerned. Have a look!

New Launches
Nothing is more fascinating than new smartphone launch. And 2017 is not going to disappoint you. With dozens of devices hitting the town, we see some of them as important. Apple’s iPhone 8 is rumoured to be coming to the stands in September this year. Apple might drop the physical home button, which has been the iconic figure for the company, this will make iPhone a sleek slate of glass giving an edge on the opponents.
Talking of edge, reminds us yes you guessed it, Samsung. As the Korean giant is skipping the MWC, Samsung’s most awaited phone Galaxy S8 will be coming in April 2017. And after Note 7’s battery problem, S8 has a special phone not only for the fans but also for the company itself.
As Samsung is skipping the MWC, the biggest attraction of the fair will be LG with its G6. However, we expect that LG might rename its device as the name is already taken by LG TV. By launching the successor of G5, the company aims to regain the control over the market. Although rumours suggest that LG might ditch its modular design.

Return of the mighty
2017 will mark the comeback of Nokia and Blackberry. Nokia has already launched Nokia 6, which is a China exclusive phone. But we expect to see the launch of Nokia along with Nokia D1C, a mid-segment phone which might feature snapdragon 430 processor clocked at 1. GHz, 2 or 3 GB RAM along with a whopping 13 and 16 MP camera set.
Blackberry too shared a phone called Mercury at CES, and it is expected to be launched during MWC 2017. Blackberry will return to its core that is Qwerty keypad with this device. Although there is no official word on the specs of the phone, it is expected to feature a 4.5 inches display along with 4 GB RAM and it will be powered with 3400 mAh battery.

Superfast Network
2016 saw the full fledge launch of 4G technology where 3G was considered as the top notch for the carrier part. 4G and VoLTE is now common, even in entry level phone of 5000 price tag category. Thanks to Jio there is an ongoing price war with Airtel, Vodafone and Idea slashing their net prices. And this will continue in 2017 as well.

VR/AR is the next big
Virtual and Augmented reality although started in 2016, but they will go by wings this year. With different manufacturers coming into play, most notably Lenovo and OnePlus, the segment is about to witness an up going graph. And to match with the hardware capabilities many top app development companies might come up with their solutions to make Virtual Reality even more realistic.
